Hi Mr. Rybak,

I'm now active on deviantart for quite a time, but I never got critiques or anything like that by professional painters, and at the moment I got the feeling I'm stuck in improving my arts and technique. It would be an honor for me if you could give me critique on one or two of my recent pictures!

Hey phillipp, im not a professional painter, so i think im the wrong one to give critics, but if you want i can try and give you some critics if i find something

Hey, thanks for the answer!
Even if you think/know you're no professional, I think so, actually you're one of my absolutely favourite painters at the moment.
You created an own very specific style and I think that is, what everybody tries to reach nowadays and your style really inspires me!
Anyway,  I would really appreciate critics/feedback or tips from you!

Best regards! ;o)  - Phil

Hi there, I love your artworks! If I may, do you have any tips for a starting out artist like me, to improving in colors, mood and brushstrokes?

It's hard to say, i checked some of your artworks and what I can say right now is that shadows arent mostly black and you need to work on ambient light/ bouncing light. I always imagine everything as a mirror and depending on its material it reflects more or less back. So if you have for example a person standing on a beach, you will have blue shadows because of the sky and bouncing light from the sand lighting the scene from the bottom. What also helps is to take some photography courses and see how you properly light a scene. Then its the standard thing. Keep studying studying studying!
